Oryol State University, formerly Oryol State Pedagogical Institute/University, is the university in central Russian city oryol. OSU opened in 1931 as Industrial-Pedagogical Institute. Today OSU is a member of Association of the Classical Universities of Russia.Today the university 16 faculties, 2 institutes, more than 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students, doctoral students, more than 1,500 faculty and staff. University trains in more than 300 departments and degrees in higher and post-graduate professional education, training, retraining; actively operate 53 research schools, 10 research institutes and canters. During last 82 years University has trained more than 70,000 graduates.
University is recognized as a leading institution of higher education in the region and has the highest rating among the classical universities in Russia.The university is proud of its modern dormitory housing 1100 people. Every section has two cozy rooms, a kitchen, a shower and a bathroom. The hostel for international students is located in the very centre of the city 30mtr from the University’s main building. Hostel has well equipped Rooms with all modern Facilities for 3 seated big rooms upgraded comforts, central heating, reception, laundry, cleaning & washing personals, reading room, computer hall, internet hall, medical canter, well equipped gymnasiums. Hostel is secured by well-trained guards 24 hr a day.
